The Foundation for Educational Services (FES) is a public entity within the Ministry for Education and Sport. It works concurrently with the Education Directorates to provide a range of innovative educational initiatives to meet the needs of the community. The FES is committed to ensuring that all service users are supported through informal educational initiatives. It strives to offer quality educational services through structured contemporary programmes, financial sustainability and ethical behaviour. Together we provide a safe environment and an enriching experience to our learners, their families and all stakeholders.

Children at Skolasajf M’Scala San Gwakkin had the opportunity to experience a drama workshop by Luke Saydon, an award-winning composer, musical director, and theatre maker. Luke works in musical theatre within local communities and abroad, and was also the winner of the Maltese National Arts Award for Best Creative Practice.

The workshop was inspired by the artist’s adaptation of Pinocchio, and had a particular focus on bringing together children of different nationalities in a shared creative space. The session started with warm-up exercises and then moved on to create an interactive experience.
