Fox Marionette/Puppet
Objectives: ​To foster creativity in creating a toy and something with which one can have fun and perform with by themselves or with others.

This puppet can easily be customised to make any character or animal that one would like. Any student undertaking this can also make more to set up a show in their own living room

The Ladybird Paper Craft​


  • White, black and red paper.
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Black marker.


  1. Cut a circle shape out of red paper to form the base.
  2. Cut strips out of red paper.
  3. Take one strip of paper and glue onto the base as shown on the picture.
  4. Glue on the next one at an angle of 90° to the first one.
  5. Continue with the next two, placing them between the first two.
  6. Add more strips of paper to make the ladybird fuller, depending on the size you are making it.
  7. Cut the dots using glue caps as templates out of black paper.
  8. Cut half a circle shape for the head and two antennas.
  9. Cut two small oval shapes out of white paper and draw the eyes with a black marker.
  10. Glue on the dots and head with a glue stick.

Banana Muffins Recipe
Objectives: ​Enhancing cooking skills


• 1 large banana
• 50g strawberries
• 40g soft brown sugar
• 2 tbsp oil
• 1 small egg
• 65ml milk
• 100g self raising flour

List of Equipment:

1 mixing bowl
Measuring jug
Measuring scale
Cup cake cases


1. Preheat the oven to 190C
2. Peel and mash the banana in a bowl using the back of a fork. Mix in the
sugar and oil.
3. Crack the egg into the bowl. Pour in the milk and stir it all with a
4. Carefully sieve the flour into the mixing bowl.
5. Use your spoon to gently stir the flour into the rest of the

7. Ask an adult to put the cases on a baking tray, and put them in the

Fireworks in a Bottle

Children can learn that by using certain ingredients they can make an experiment that will show them how to make fireworks in water.

  • An empty jar/ bottle
  • 4 tbsp of cooking oil
  • Food colouring
  • Water
  • Paper towels
  • Spoon
  • Bowl

Coloured Rubber Egg Experiment
Objectives: ​The children will explore what will happen to an egg when vinegar is added to it.


- Egg
- Clear cup or jar
- Vinegar
- Food Colouring
- Water
- Spoon


Step 1: Place a raw egg in a cup or clear jar.
Step 2: Add some vinegar to the cup until the egg is submerged.
Step 3: Also add some drops of food colouring to give the egg colour.
Step 4: After 3-5 days remove the egg from the vinegar and place it in a bowl of water.
Step 5: Gently rub away the shell to reveal your rubber egg. The egg will become bouncy and rubbery

Banana Oats Cookies
Objectives: Gross and fine motor skills, Cutting skills, Pencil/colour grip, Use of recycled materials


  • Used Cd
  • White paper
  • Glue/glue stick
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • 4 green tags/scraps of wool or string
  • Black marker
  • Googly eyes (optional)


  1. Place a used CD on white paper and with a pencil, draw a circle around the CD and colour in green.
  2. On a folded blank white paper, draw the face, the hands and the feet.
  3. Colour them green and cut them out.
  4. With a black marker draw the mouth. Stick the googly eyes.
  5. If you don’t have googly eyes draw them with a black marker.
  6. Stick the green circle on the CD
  7. Then stick the face on the top part of the CD.
  8. Cut the metal part of the tags. Put glue on the sides and bottom part of the CD and stick the tags.
  9. Apply glue to the free ends of the tags and stick the hands and feet on them.
  10. Let them dry. (You can use wool or string instead of green tags).

• 1 cup oats
• A pinch of salt
• 1 tbp cinnamon
• Few drops of vanilla extract
• Fork, 1 bowl, spoon, ice cream scoop
• Baking sheet and baking tray
• Optional: shredded coconut, dried fruit, peanut butter or any other ingredients that you like​

  • ​Milk Skimmed or Lactose Free
  • Yoghurt Strawberry

You will need a food processor to blend the smoothie!
